Account and app settings
Everything about you (not projects or the company) sits in one menu under the person icon top right. This page goes through it item by item and adds where the things people look for there actually live (notifications, light and dark).
Where to find it
The person icon (User menu) is top right on every page and in the map. The menu starts with your name and e-mail, then three groups: view and organization, account and tools, the app.

Light and dark mode
The sun / moon switch (Switch to light / dark mode) is in four places: in the app header next to the bell, on the sign-in screen, in the map in the canvas controls bottom left and in the simplified view below the list. The choice applies to this device (the browser remembers it) — unlike the skin, which is saved to your account.
Why is the app dark even in light mode
The default Midnight skin is dark in both modes. You get a light app by choosing a light skin (menu → Appearance), not by switching the mode.
Language
The menu item shows the language you switch to (English or Česky); the sign-in screen has an EN / CS button. The choice is saved to your account and also applies to e-mails from the app and to the documentation links (.com or .cz). The interface is in English and Czech; the API and MCP are English-only by design.
My account
- Full name and Display name (This is how others see you on nodes and in lists. Empty = full name, or e-mail.) → Save. The assistant can change both with a sentence.
- Change password — Current password, New password, Repeat new password → Change password. After changing the password you will be signed out — the old session stops working everywhere on purpose. A forgotten password without SMTP is reset by an administrator in Organization settings.
- My data — Download all my data (one file with everything you can see) and Upload data from an export (up to 50 MB). Details in Export and import.
- My invoice details — your own supplier details when you invoice on your own behalf. See Invoices.
The account e-mail cannot be changed and you cannot delete your own account — both are done by an administrator.
Connect AI agent
The Connect your AI agent dialog is offered once after the first sign-in (it can be skipped) and is always in the menu. It holds one line to copy — Set up killBottleneck for me: fetch and follow this guide …/agent-setup.md — which you paste into Claude Code, Cursor or Codex. The agent sets killBottleneck up by itself; when the agent is done, you sign in in your browser and approve the access. No password or key ever goes into the agent. The approval is the Authorize access screen with a Read and write / Read only choice; it can be revoked any time in API keys.
The operator turns the post-sign-in dialog off with KB_AGENT_SETUP_ASK=0.
API keys
- Connect a client (MCP, API) — the Instance address and Claude Code — one command to copy (after creating a key the command contains it right away).
- New key — a description (optional), Permissions Read only / Read and write, Valid until (optional) → Create. You'll see the token only once, when it's created.
- In the list every key has a read / read+write badge, last used … or never used, valid until … or expired, and the Rotate key (new token, the old one stops working) and Revoke key buttons. Apps approved through OAuth (agents) are revoked there too.
A key acts as you — it reaches the maps you can see and writes according to the share level; never roles or administration. See REST API and MCP server.
About
A short description (fair-code: download it, run it, modify it, use it commercially; you just may not resell it as a hosted service), the Documentation, YouTube channel and Discord community cards, the Version … line and, on your own server, possibly Version … is available (how to update is in Updating); in the Windows app also Windows app ….
What is not in the menu
- Notifications are set on the bell's page → Notification settings. See Notifications.
- Clients live in the Worked time dialog, not on their own.
- The account e-mail and deleting the account — only an administrator in Organization settings.
- The simplified view has no user menu; the look and the mode are below the list.
